URBAN 2022, New Buildings Prize: Matrix4Design announces the 10 finalists and the Exhibition
The jury of the New Buildings 2022 special prize, represented by Matrix4Design founder Andrea Boni, has selected the ten finalist photographs, on the basis of criteria that combine the formal care of the shot with the emotional power of the image.
“The choice”, says Boni, “fell on photographic works in which architecture occupies the entire space of the shot thanks to the skilful visual play produced by lines and volumes that enter into a relationship with color and light. The photographs enhance and reinvent the buildings, thus revealing a new identity.”
Also confirmed this year the exhibition of the ten finalists: NEW BUILDINGS. The new icons of contemporary architecture – 2022 edition will take place from 11 to 25 October at the Turri Showroom, Via Borgospesso 11 in Milan. Opening: 11 October at 6.00 pm. The winner’s award ceremony will take place on Saturday 29 October at Trieste Photo Days.
The New Buildings special prize, born in 2020 from the partnership between URBAN Photo Awards and Italian magazine Matrix4Design, is dedicated to the icons of architecture that have changed the face of cities over the last ten years.
