URBAN Photo Arena<\/strong>, dedicated to under-35 photographers<\/strong>, unfolds as a knockout tournament, modeled on major sporting competitions: a first group stage<\/strong>, played online, leads into the knockout bracket, up to the semifinals <\/strong>and final <\/strong>held live during Trieste Photo Days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Voting for this first group stage is open as of yesterday<\/strong>. The competing photos have been randomly split into two sections, Alpha (groups 1-8)<\/strong> and Beta (groups 9-16)<\/strong>: if your photo is in Alpha, you vote for Beta, and vice versa, so that no photographer can vote for their own photo.<\/p>\n

Voting closes Thursday, July 16th at 23:59 CET.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even if you’ve been eliminated, you can keep voting: each time a photo advances to the next round, the photographers who voted for it earn points, with the points available increasing at each round. Whoever accumulates the most points by the end of the Semifinals wins the Best Voter Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
