{"id":42949,"date":"2026-07-03T15:51:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T13:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/?p=42949"},"modified":"2026-07-03T17:07:59","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T15:07:59","slug":"urban-photo-awards-2026-here-are-the-selected-photographers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/en\/urban-photo-awards-2026-here-are-the-selected-photographers\/","title":{"rendered":"URBAN Photo Awards 2026: here are the Selected Photographers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The journey to the <\/span><b>URBAN Photo Awards 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> podium has officially begun: we are thrilled to share the names of the <\/span><b>Selected Photographers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the first milestone of a path unfolding in several phases, all leading to<\/span><b> Saturday 24 October<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, when the<\/span><b> Awards Ceremony <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will take place as part of <\/span><b>Trieste Photo Days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where our distinguished jurors <\/span><b>Mark Powe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r and <\/span><b>Christopher Morris<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will present the prizes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Announcement Phases<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year nearly <\/span><b>20,000 images<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were submitted by around<\/span><b> 5,000 photographers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from across the world, across <\/span><b>Single Images<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Projects &amp; Portfolios<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and books entered for the <\/span><b>Book Award<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Selected Photographers lists are organised by section and sorted alphabetically: type your name in the search bar to find your photo or project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>URBAN Photo Arena<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is also about to get underway: hundreds of photographs are ready to compete in the tournament dedicated to under-35 talent. Entrants will be contacted shortly with voting instructions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will also soon be publishing the shortlist for the special <\/span><b>Patricia D. Richards Legacy Award<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: all photographers under 35 who entered the Projects &amp; Portfolios section are automatically in the running for this prize.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Upcoming festival<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mark the dates of <\/span><b>Trieste Photo Days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in your calendar: <\/span><b>23 to 25 October<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
