The lineup of key figures at the URBAN Photo Awards 2026, 17th edition<\/strong>, continues to grow and strengthen.<\/p>\n

We are delighted to announce the participation of Christopher Morris<\/strong>, a highly acclaimed American photographer of international renown and co-founding member of VII Photo Agency<\/strong>, will be Jury President for the Single Photo Category<\/strong>, a section that has represented one of the Festival’s central and defining elements since its very start.<\/p>\n

Throughout his career, Christopher Morris<\/strong> has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Robert Capa Gold Medal<\/strong> and the Oliver Rebbot Award<\/strong>, and he is a member of the Seven Foundation<\/strong>. His photographic work is widely appreciated on an international level, with particular recognition for the expressive intensity and rigour<\/strong> that characterise his war photography. Over the years, he has also successfully explored other genres, ranging from political photography and portraiture to fashion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He will personally select and announce the winners and shortlisted photographers of the Single Photo Section<\/strong> during the URBAN Awards ceremony<\/strong>, on Saturday 25 October<\/strong>, as part of the Trieste Photo Days 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At Trieste Photo Days 2026<\/strong>, Christopher Morris<\/strong> will also lead a two-day workshop (22\u201323 October)<\/strong>, offering a valuable opportunity for growth and exchange, which will include a portfolio review session for participants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He will also be a special guest of Mythography VI<\/strong>, an editorial project dedicated to reinterpreting Greco-Roman mythology<\/strong> through the lens of contemporary photographers, exploring the tension between order and transgression<\/strong>, evoked by the symbolic figures of Jupiter and Bacchus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With Morris\u2019 involvement<\/strong>, Trieste Photo Days<\/strong> reaffirms its commitment to promoting photographic culture, offering audiences the opportunity to engage with some of the most prominent voices on the international scene.<\/p>\n
