As we look forward to the 2026 edition of the <\/span>URBAN Photo Awards<\/b>, we are pleased to relaunch <\/span>#URBANinsights<\/b>, our annual interview series dedicated to the winners of previous years. This editorial space is designed to go beyond the award-winning image, offering a deeper look into the creative processes, artistic visions, and personal journeys of the photographers involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2025 edition saw record-breaking participation, with over <\/span>10,000 single photos, 600 projects, and 90 books<\/b> submitted by more than <\/span>5,000 international authors<\/b>. These figures, coupled with the extraordinary quality of the works, reaffirm URBAN Photo Awards as a privileged observatory and global point of reference for contemporary photography, attracting outstanding and diverse visions year after year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among this season\u2019s featured artists, we will discover the work of <\/span>Fabio Domenicali<\/b><\/a> (<\/span>Book Award<\/b> winner with <\/span>TEREN ZIELONY<\/span><\/i>), the layered storytelling of <\/span>Andrea Bettancini<\/b><\/a> (<\/span>Press Award<\/b> winner with <\/span>The Sound of Silence<\/span><\/i>), the social impact of <\/span>Daniel Ramos<\/b><\/a> (selected for the <\/span>Projects & Portfolios<\/b> category by Jury President Matt Black), and the narrative precision of <\/span>Luis Olivan Tenorio<\/b><\/a>, winner of the<\/span> Single Photos<\/b> category.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through <\/span>#URBANinsights<\/b>, we give voice to these artistic journeys in order to better understand what it means today to build a project capable of standing out in a highly competitive international landscape. As we reflect on this remarkable edition, our focus is already shifting to the future: <\/span>submissions for the 17th edition of the URBAN Photo Awards<\/b> will open on <\/span>April 1, 2026<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
