The <\/span>Special Prize for Artistic Sensitivity<\/b> is a singular recognition, awarded to the work that most deeply resonates with the sensibility of <\/span>Giorgio Celiberti<\/b>, acclaimed artist and long-time presence at the Venice Biennale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The photograph selected for the prize will receive the <\/span>Celiberti Stele<\/b>: a precious, handcrafted work of art designed and created by Celiberti himself.<\/span><\/p>\n

The artist will personally present the stele to the winning photographer during the <\/span>Trieste Photo Days Award Ceremony<\/b>, on <\/span>Saturday 25 October at 6:00 PM<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is more than an award – it is a moment of deep connection between two artists, across generations and disciplines.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Significance of the Celiberti Stele<\/strong><\/h3>\n

T<\/span>he <\/span>Celiberti Stele<\/b> is a unique artwork, hand-sculpted by Giorgio Celiberti himself. A symbol of artistic sensitivity, the stele embodies the emotional and aesthetic legacy of a master who has devoted his life to the expressive power of art.<\/span><\/p>\n

Giorgio Celiberti\u2019s influence will extend beyond the Special Prize. He will create <\/span>custom stele <\/b>for top winners across multiple URBAN categories: <\/span>Single Pictures, Projects & Portfolios, Book Award, URBAN Photo Arena, Press Award, and TPD Best Author.<\/span> Each stele will be <\/span>entirely unique<\/b>, tailored to the spirit of its respective award. Honorable mentions, remarkable rewards, and Arena finalists will instead receive <\/span>Celiberti\u2019s sigilli – <\/b>offering each winner a meaningful and memorable symbol of their achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Giorgio Celiberti<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u200b\u200bBorn in 1929 in Udine, Giorgio Celiberti gained recognition at the age of nineteen at the 1948 <\/span>Venice Biennale<\/b>, still the <\/span>youngest artist ever presented<\/b> at the world famous art exposition. His travels in Europe and the United States deeply influenced his art, especially his time in Paris in the 1950s. In 1965, the moving experience of the Terezin concentration camp inspired him to create works focused on that event. In addition to painting, he dedicated himself to sculpture, exploring a wide range of materials and themes, exhibited in <\/span>international shows<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
