Get ready to discover the champions of URBAN Photo Awards 2025!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A journey full of emotions and expectations is on the horizon, reaching its climax in October during the Trieste Photo Days festival. Join us in the lively coastal city of Trieste, located in northeast Italy. The final winners will be unveiled during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 25, with awards presented by our distinguished jurors Matt Black, Denis Curti, Paolo Verzone, Federica Berzioli, and many others<\/strong>!<\/p>\n This year the contest has gathered record numbers, with our extraordinary jury meticulously evaluating 10,685<\/strong> single photos, 643<\/strong> projects and portfolios, and 90<\/strong> books submitted by over 5,000 photographers<\/strong> from all over the world. In light of this unprecedented participation, the Selected Photographers – including those in the Single Images, Projects & Portfolio, and Books categories – are being announced together. Stay tuned as we prepare to reveal the results and celebrate the remarkable talent showcased in this year\u2019s competition!<\/p>\n Here’s the roadmap to the Podium<\/strong>, featuring all five announcement stages for our main photography sections: Single Photos, Projects & Portfolios, Book<\/strong>:<\/p>\n 1.<\/span> Selected Photographers <\/strong>\u2013 announced here<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 2. Semifinalists <\/strong>– mid-July<\/span><\/p>\n 3. Finalists<\/strong> – end of July<\/span><\/p>\n 4. Winners Shortlist – <\/strong>mid-September<\/span><\/p>\n 5. Final podium – <\/strong>Award Ceremony, October 25th 2025<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n We are also preparing the battlefield for the over 500 photos<\/strong> received for URBAN Photo Arena<\/strong>, the Under 35 photography tournament. Participants will be contacted very soon with complete voting instructions!<\/p>\n Subsequently, we will publish a shortlist<\/strong> for a new special prize<\/strong><\/a>, “The Patricia D. Richards Legacy Award,<\/strong>“<\/em> which received a total of 77 entries<\/strong>. Every Under 35 photographer<\/strong> who submitted for Projects & Portfolios is eligible for the Award.<\/p>\n Save the date for this year\u2019s Trieste Photo Days<\/a> – International Festival of Urban Photography<\/em><\/strong>, happening from October 24-26 in Trieste, the pulsing seaside cosmopolitan city in the heart of Europe.<\/p>\n This year, we are honored to welcome Matt Black<\/strong> as President of the Jury for the URBAN Photo Awards 2025. In celebration of his involvement, a series of exhibitions and previews will be curated, filling city venues and expo halls in the months leading up to the festival in late October. The program will kick off in August as part of the two major satellite exhibition events of Trieste Photo Days<\/strong><\/a>: Trieste Photo Fringe<\/strong> and the Photo Days Tour<\/strong>.
