I want to enter URBAN 2025. Is there still time?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, but hurry! Submissions are open until Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Who will judge my photos?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

An international jury chaired by Matt Black<\/strong>. The judges include photography professionals, among them Paolo Verzone, Denis Curti, and many others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can I submit only 1 photo?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Certainly!\u00a0 Photographers can participate with as many images as they wish.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can I submit a free-themed project?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course!\u00a0 We have a section dedicated to Projects & Portfolios<\/strong>, which includes photo sets, series, reportages, and storyboards.\u00a0 A maximum of 12 photos<\/strong> per project.<\/p>\n

But I have a project with more than 80 images! What now?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can submit it for the URBAN Book Awards<\/strong> section.\u00a0 We accept both PDF and image sequences. Denis Curti <\/strong>himself will choose and award the winning project<\/strong>, which we will publish in a printed volume!<\/p>\n

How do I know if I have won URBAN?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are five selection phases for our photography sections that lead to the final podium:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Selected Photographers<\/strong> (by the end of June 2025). Publication on the website of Selected Photographers in alphabetical order (without ranking), who will have the opportunity to participate in summer exhibitions\/previews.<\/li>\n
  2. Editors Choice<\/strong> (by mid-July 2025). Publication on the website of Semifinalist Photographers in alphabetical order (without ranking): approximately 800 single photos + 100 Projects + 20 Books.<\/li>\n
  3. Finalists <\/strong>(By the end of July 2025).\u00a0 Publication on the website of Finalist Photographers in alphabetical order (without ranking): approximately 200 single photos + 30 Projects + 5 Books.<\/li>\n
  4. Winners Shortlist <\/strong>(mid-September).\u00a0 Publication on the website of the Shortlist in alphabetical order (without ranking): approximately 40 single photos + 5 Projects + 3 Books.<\/li>\n
  5. Final Podium<\/strong> at Trieste Photo Days (Saturday, October 25, 2025).\u00a0 Announcement and awards ceremony for the winners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The final ranking will subsequently be published on the URBAN website and Facebook page.<\/p>\n

    Will my URBAN photo be exhibited?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    All Selected Photographers<\/strong> will be published in our online Gallery!<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are on the Winners Shortlist<\/strong>, your work will be exhibited at Trieste Photo Days 2025<\/strong>. Selected photographers<\/strong> will still have the opportunity to participate in special exhibitions (Trieste Photo Fringe<\/strong>) and be included in our photo book URBAN Unveils the City and its Secrets \u2013 Volume 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    What is Trieste Photo Days?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Trieste Photo Days \u2013 International Photography Festival (October 24-26, Trieste) is the event where we exhibit hundreds of URBAN photographers!<\/strong>\u00a0 We curate exhibitions with authors from all over the world in splendid city center<\/strong> and regional locations<\/strong>, in museums and exhibition halls.<\/p>\n
