The 2023 Winners were announced and awarded live at the URBAN Photo Awards ceremony, Saturday 28 October 2023 at the Auditorium of the Museo Revoltella<\/em>, as part of the 10th edition of Trieste Photo Days 2023 – Internationl Festival of Urban Photography<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Russian photographer Natalya Saprunova with the shot \u201cGoing to save themselves from the abnormal heat\u201d<\/em> won as Overall Winner of URBAN Photo Awards 2023, chosen by the president of the jury Alec Soth among all the first ranked in the Streets, People, Spaces and Creative categories in the Single Photos section. She was also crowned as “TPD Best Author”<\/strong>, an award given to the photographer who collected most prizes in the entirety of the Trieste Photo Days festival.<\/p>\n

Andre Ramos Palacios (Spain) won in the Streets<\/strong> category with his photo \u201cThough life\u201d<\/em>, Natalya Saprunova (Russia) the People<\/strong> category with “Going to save themselves from the abnormal heat”<\/em>; Graziano Panfili (Italy) took first prize in the Spaces<\/strong> category with \u201cOrtona\u201d<\/em> while Andre Boto (Portugal) won in the Creative<\/strong> category with her photo \u201cThe false illusion.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Post-industrial Rust Belt\u201c,<\/em> by American photographer Andrew Borowiec won the Projects&Portfolios<\/strong> section, and the first edition of the URBAN Press Award<\/strong> went to Polish author Krzysztof Bednarskiwith his project\u00a0Parisian Night Stories. <\/em>CAFUNE\u0301 by Spanish photographer Rafael Fabr\u00e9s gained the URBAN Book Award. <\/strong>The contest URBAN Photo Arena<\/strong> saw Romain Miot triumphant with the shot “Becoming an adult”.<\/em><\/p>\n

Awarded also the selected authors for the prize-exhibitions<\/strong> at the Sartorio Museum<\/strong>: Andrea Bettancini – The Failure of Reason;\u00a0<\/em> Giovanni Sacco – Memento Mori,<\/em>\u00a0 Alain Schroeder – Lelo,<\/em>\u00a0and Martina D\u2019Agresta – Tempra. <\/em>For at the Pore\u010d Museum in Croatia<\/strong> Francesco Aglieri Rinella was selected with “Nowhere to go but Everywhere”<\/em>. German photographerMartin Wacker was the winner of the Icons of Architecture<\/strong>\u00a0Special Prize offered by\u00a0Matrix4Design, with the photo\u00a0Bierpinsel<\/em>.<\/p>\n
