He currently holds numerous prestigious roles: Artistic Director of Le Stanze della Fotografia<\/strong><\/em> in Venice, Director of the photography gallery<\/strong> STILL<\/strong><\/em> in Milan. He is artistic director of several photography festivals, including those in Capri<\/strong> and Montefano<\/strong>, and the online publication Black Camera,<\/strong> \u00a0and the artistic director of Deloitte\u2019s PhotoGrant.<\/strong>\u00a0From 2018 to 2022, he led the magazine IL FOTOGRAFO<\/strong><\/a> and was previously the director of Contrasto<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Milan and vice president of the Forma Foundation<\/strong><\/a> in Milan.<\/p>\n Curti curated exhibitions for notable photographers like Elliott Erwitt<\/strong> and Robert Capa<\/strong> and directed artistic projects for major companies. He has written multiple books on photography, including \u201cCollecting Photography\u201d and \u201cUnderstanding Contemporary Photography.\u201d An expert in photography auctions, he curated Sotheby\u2019s first photography auctions in Milan in the early 2000s and directed the Italian Foundation for Photography from 1995 to 2002.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/i> UPOLOAD YOUR PORTFOLIO HERE<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\n ENTRIES CLOSE ON 16 June 2024<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Patricia was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Ingraham High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama<\/strong> from the University of Washington, a Master of Science in Education<\/strong> from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Fine Arts<\/strong> degree from Southern Methodist University. She received a Mid-America Arts Alliance\/National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship<\/strong> in Photography in 1991, and taught photography at Tarrant County College<\/strong> in the Dallas\/Fort Worth area. While there, she led numerous groups of students on study abroad trips to Europe, South America, and Cuba. For many, it was their first time leaving the state of Texas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Her work can be found in several museum collection<\/strong>s, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art<\/strong>, the Amon Carter Museum<\/strong> in Fort Worth, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts<\/strong>, the Birmingham Museum of Art<\/strong>, and the Smithsonian Institution<\/strong>. She also exhibits her work internationally<\/strong> and her work will be featured in the Trieste Photo Days<\/strong><\/a> Festival in October.
