\nToday marks the commencement of a journey that will ultimately unveil the champions of the\u00a0URBAN Photo Awards 2023<\/strong>\u00a0contest!<\/p>\n

As usual, this path will be filled with excitement and anticipation, reaching its pinnacle in late October at the\u00a0Trieste Photo Days festival.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0We invite you to join us at the festival in our fascinating seaside city of Trieste, in northeastern Italy. The final winners will be revealed during the Award Ceremony and personally awarded by our top jurors\u00a0Alec Soth<\/strong>,\u00a0J\u00e9r\u00f4me Sessini<\/strong>, and\u00a0Kadir van Lohuizen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here are\u00a0all five \u201cstages\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>of announcements for our main photography sections (Single Photos, Projects & Portfolios, and URBAN Book Award<\/strong>), leading towards the Trieste Photo Days festival:<\/p>\n

1) Selected Photographers – here they are!<\/strong><\/a>
\n2) Semifinalists (mid-July)
\n3) Finalists (end of July)
\n4) Winners Shortlist (mid-September)
\n5) Final podium at the Trieste Photo Days Award Ceremony (Saturday October 28, 2023)<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s begin with the first of the five \u201cstages\u201d of the journey towards the winning podium: the official publication of a wide range of\u00a0Selected Photographers<\/strong><\/a>, an outcome of the diligent efforts by our amazing Jury. They meticulously evaluated\u00a012,000\u00a0<\/strong>competition photos, nearly\u00a0400<\/strong>\u00a0Projects and Portfolios, and over\u00a0120<\/strong>\u00a0Photo Books.We would like to congratulate all the Selected Photographers and wish them the\u00a0best of luck for the next \u201cstages\u201d!\u00a0<\/strong>The lists of 2023 Selected Photographers are divided by section \/ thematic area and strictly in alphabetical order. The authors must simply type their name<\/strong> into each section they have partecipated in to find their selected picture or project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We will also shortly announce the shortlist for the\u00a0Icons of Architecture special prize<\/strong>, promoted in collaboration with\u00a0Matrix4Design magazine.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Our new contest format dedicated to the young under 35 community\u00a0URBAN Photo Arena<\/strong>,<\/a> will also start soon. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n

As usual this year, we are organizing\u00a0a cycle of exhibitions and previews<\/strong>\u00a0with the\u00a0best selection\u00a0<\/strong>of URBAN 2023 photos. They will be held starting from August\u00a0as part of the two main satellite exhibition events of Trieste Photo Days:\u00a0Trieste Photo Fringe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Photo Days Tour<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/a> We will announce the calendar shortly.<\/p>\n

We take this opportunity to sincerely thank again the\u00a03,000 photographers from all over the world\u00a0<\/strong>who participated in and supported the\u00a014th edition of the URBAN Photo Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
