{"id":28114,"date":"2023-05-10T14:17:17","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T12:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/?p=28114"},"modified":"2024-03-30T13:07:34","modified_gmt":"2024-03-30T12:07:34","slug":"iliana-cepero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/en\/iliana-cepero\/","title":{"rendered":"Iliana Cepero"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Iliana Cepero<\/strong> (PhD Art History, Stanford University) is an art historian, art critic, and curator<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Cepero is an Assistant Professor at the New School and teaches courses on\u00a0Latin American art, photography, and visual culture, modern and contemporary Art History and Visual Studies, and Postcolonial Studies.\u00a0She is currently working on a book manuscript about post-war Argentinian art and political propaganda under Peronism.\u00a0As part of her curatorial practice,\u00a0she organized the exhibition\u00a0<strong><em>Cuba Is<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles as part of the Getty Foundation\u2019s initiative Pacific Standard LA\/LA (September 2017-March 2018);\u00a0<strong><em>\u00a1Cuba, Cuba! 65 years of Photography,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>sponsored by the International Center of Photography at the Southampton Arts Center, Long Island, NY (August 2015); she\u00a0was also assistant curator of the Montreal Biennial in 2007, and co-curated the exhibition\u00a0<strong><em>Cuba: Art and History.
