A commercial photographer for over thirty years, it is his fine art work that has set him apart from others, with instant film and toy camera images fueling several bodies of work. His consulting, training, and overall support of his fellow photographic artist continues with assistance in constructing one\u2019s vision, reviewing portfolios, and finding exhibition opportunities, which fill the gaps in time away from active photography. Michael is also an <strong>independent curator<\/strong> and <strong>juror<\/strong>, and <strong>advocate<\/strong> for the <strong>photographic arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a juror for <strong>Photolucida\u2019s Critical Mass<\/strong> and has reviewed portfolios for several fine art photographic organizations and non-profits in the U.S. and abroad. Michael has been a contributing writer for Lenscratch, Light Leaked, and Don\u2019t Take Pictures magazine. In addition, he spent ten years (2006-2016) on the Board of the <strong>American Photographic Artists in Los Angeles<\/strong> (APA\/LA), producing artist lectures, as well as business and inspirational events for the community.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, he is also <strong>Editorin- Chief<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.analogforevermagazine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>Analog Forever Magazine<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Founding Editor<\/strong> for the photographer interview website, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalystinterviews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>Catalyst: Interviews<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Contributing Editor<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/onetwelvepublishing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>One Twelve Publishing<\/strong><\/a>, and <strong>Co-Host<\/strong> of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diffusiontapes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Diffusion Tapes<\/a> podcast<\/strong>. Michael\u2019s fine art imagery has garnered recognition from the <strong>IPA Awards<\/strong>, <strong>PX3<\/strong>, <strong>Photographers Forum<\/strong>, and <strong>Critical Mass<\/strong>. His photographs have been published in L&#8217;Oeil de la Photographie, B&amp;W (U.S.), Black &amp; White (U.K.), Seities, Esquire, BLUR, Harpers, Adore Noir, Fraction, Shots, Diffusion Annual, and Lenscratch, among others.
