\u20ac 15,000 in prize value <\/strong><\/a>(updating), three sections dedicated to Single Photos<\/em>, Projects & Portfolios<\/em> and Photographic Books<\/em> (URBAN Book Award), exhibitions<\/strong> and award ceremony<\/strong> at Trieste Photo Days<\/a> festival<\/strong> and much more: URBAN Photo Awards is an international stage for photographers, ne of the very few contests that goes \u201cover the boundaries\u201d of Internet offering to photographers real visibility.<\/p>\n

New Website<\/strong>. The brand new layout of the URBAN Photo Awards website has been inaugurated. More than a simple restyling, the new site focuses on<\/strong> photographers<\/strong>. The renewed Gallery<\/strong> <\/a>section now offers permalinks<\/strong> to the ranked photos and projects: Selected Photographers, Semi-Finalists, Finalists and Winners of the last few years can therefore share their works directly from the URBAN website.<\/p>\n

Jury<\/strong>. The first important names in the 2022 jury<\/strong><\/a> have already been confirmed: Nino Migliori<\/strong> (Italian photography legend), J\u00e9r\u00f4me Sessini<\/strong> (documentary photographer, member of the Magnum Photos agency), Alexandra Sophie<\/strong> (photographer and fashion illustrator), Manfred Baumann<\/strong> (internationally renowned portraitist, Leica photographer), Nick Turpin<\/strong> (pioneer of contemporary street photography) and Susan Meiselas<\/strong>, one of the most influential documentary photographers in the world and president of the Magnum Foundation. More jurors will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

New Buildings 2022. <\/strong>The partnership with Matrix4Design<\/strong><\/a> magazine has been confirmed for the third year in a row, with which the New Buildings<\/em> special prize will be launched as part of URBAN, dedicated to the icons of architecture that have changed the face of cities over the last ten years.<\/p>\n

Juror Susan Meiselas<\/strong><\/a> is also involved in another project that will lead to Trieste Photo Days: WOW: Worlds of Women<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. A collective photographic tribute to women, the female universe and the thousand galaxies that populate it. WOW<\/em><\/strong> which will give life to a photographic book and a large collective exhibition. Open call until March 8 on the wow.exhibitaround.com<\/strong><\/a> website.<\/p>\n

URBAN Photo Awards<\/strong> is an international photographic competition that becomes the heart of the Trieste Photo Days<\/strong> festival. Both projects are promoted by Italian cultural association dotART<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
