\u201cI\u2019m a very tough editor of my own photography\u201d, Gilden writes in the introduction of the book, \u201cand I\u2019m the same when I\u2019m asked to look at other people\u2019s work. In the submissions, I was looking for various styles and different ways of approaching familiar subjects and scenes. In my estimation, I think I chose some solid work that ranges from traditional to more contemporary.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Real People<\/em><\/strong> volume, which will be presented at the URBAN 2021 awards ceremony during the upcoming Trieste Photo Days<\/strong>, opens with a \u201cbest of\u201d section with photos by Gilden himself, and continues with ten projects that pay homage to the New York master’s street photograhy.<\/p>\n
