{"id":14372,"date":"2020-06-04T12:51:39","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T10:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/?p=14372"},"modified":"2020-06-05T11:39:47","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T09:39:47","slug":"watch-now-urban-2020-photo-awards-special-event-with-nick-turpin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/en\/watch-now-urban-2020-photo-awards-special-event-with-nick-turpin\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch now URBAN 2020 Photo Awards special event with Nick Turpin"},"content":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s eleven days before the end of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/\"><strong>URBAN 2020 Photo Awards<\/strong><\/a> and today we have a special episode of <strong>TPD Digital Talks<\/strong> with <strong>Nick Turpin<\/strong>, great English street photographer and member of the URBAN Jury.<\/p>\n<p>See you <strong>tonight at 9 pm CET<\/strong>, live on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/triestephotodays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>Facebook page of Trieste Photo Days<\/strong><\/a>, the International Festival which will host the contest&#8217;s <strong>Awards Ceremony <\/strong>in October.<\/p>\n<p>Nick will tell us about his personal vision of contemporary <strong>street photography<\/strong>, also commenting on a selection of his works. There will also be space for URBAN Photo Awards and in particular for the <strong>Book Award section<\/strong>, supervised by Nick, who will choose the winning project.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions for the eleventh edition of URBAN Photo Awards are <strong>open until Sunday 14 June 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can submit <strong>Single Photos<\/strong> (4 thematic areas: Streets, People, Spaces, Creative), <strong>Projects &amp; Portfolio<\/strong> (sequences of images that share a common element, projects, photo reports, series, &#8220;stories&#8221; narrated through the photographs, etc.), and <strong>Books<\/strong> (projects extended beyond 12 photos, in pdf or image sequences).<\/p>\n<p>Works will be selected by a prestigious<strong> international jury <\/strong>chaired by a living legend of photography: <strong>Alex Webb<\/strong>, who will personally choose the winner. Among the jury members: Manfred Baumann, Gulnara Samoilova, Arnaud Montagard, Tadashi Onishi, Ania Klosek and <strong>many others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A prize pool worth <strong>over \u20ac 16,000<\/strong> is up for grabs, together with exhibitions and publication.
