Photographic works on existing subjects of the Leonardesque architecture and works freely inspired by the theme of the <strong>Ideal City<\/strong>. The photos must fit into one of the following thematic areas: <strong>The City and the Water <\/strong>\/ <strong>Geometry &amp; Perspective<\/strong> \/ <strong>Aerial Photography<\/strong> (see rules below).<\/p>\n<p>The best works, selected by dotART, will become part of the multidisciplinary project, which will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>collective photographic exhibition <\/strong>(around 30 photos), which will be set up in October 2019 at the<strong> DoubleRoom<\/strong> <strong>space<\/strong> during Trieste Photo Days, Italy.<\/li>\n<li>A photographic volume supervised by <strong>Edoardo Villata<\/strong>, professor of History of Modern Art at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, which will also take care of the introduction.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>conference on Leonardo\u2019s Ideal City<\/strong> by prof. <strong>Villata<\/strong> with the participation of Angelo Cucchetto, Art director of the Festival, which will take place on <strong>Sunday 27 October 2019<\/strong> during the presentation of the project at Trieste Photo Days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Exhibit Around will select the best author of the project and will award it with a <strong>free 3-night stay in Trieste<\/strong> on the occasion of the presentation of the photographic book, in the context of Trieste Photo Days 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Call is open from 11 July to 15 September 2019 and it\u2019s completely free.<\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"su-button-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exhibitaround.com\/en\/events\/open-call-la-citta-ideale-di-leonardo\/\" class=\"su-button su-button-style-default\" style=\"color:#FFFFFF;background-color:#ff7f00;border-color:#cc6600;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color:#FFFFFF;padding:11px 36px;font-size:26px;line-height:39px;border-color:#ffa64d;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;text-shadow:0px 0px 0px #d96c00;-moz-text-shadow:0px 0px 0px #d96c00;-webkit-text-shadow:0px 0px 0px #d96c00\"><i class=\"sui sui-photo\" style=\"font-size:26px;color:#FFFFFF\"><\/i> INFO<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11147\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019.jpg 1100w, https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019-620x349.jpg 620w, https:\/\/www.urbanphotoawards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/TPD_BookAward2019-940x529.jpg 940w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1100px) 100vw, 1100px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In occasion of Trieste Photo Days 2019, international urban photo festival, Italian cultural association dotART promotes a free Call for Dummies for the selection of a photobook project. The aim is to give to the winner the possibility to produce and promote at an international level their own photographic project, that will be published by dotART.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.triestephotodays.com\/lost-in-shinjuku-di-tadashi-onishi-vincitore-del-tpd-book-award-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>first edition<\/strong><\/a> of the award, in 2017, was won by the Japanese <strong>Tadashi Onishi<\/strong> with <em>Lost in Shinjuku<\/em>, while<a href=\"https:\/\/www.triestephotodays.com\/zisis-kardianos-e-hiro-tanaka-vincitori-ex-aequo-del-tpd-book-award-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong> last year<\/strong><\/a> there were two winners: the Greek <strong>Zisis Kardianos<\/strong>, with <em>InLimbo<\/em> and the Japanese <strong>Hiro Tanaka<\/strong> with <em>Around 42nd and 7th<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>What is Call for dummies? <\/em>It\u2019s a selection for a photographic book that the author will present in a pdf format with a defined bone structure even if not complete and ready to be printed. The winning project will be evaluated by the jury and the winner will have the unique opportunity to see their project being promoted and published at international level with a normal editorial contract by dotART.<\/p>\n<p>Submitted projects will be selected by a commission composed by <strong>Nick Turpin<\/strong>, the art director of the festival <strong>Angelo Cucchetto<\/strong> and the dotART association\u2019s staff.
