URBAN Photo Awards events at Trieste Photo Days 2022
Here we are! This weekend the 2022 edition of URBAN Photo Awards will finally culminate at Trieste Photo Days festival with events, exhibitions, award ceremonies and exceptional guests.
From Friday 28 to Sunday 30 October you can visit the winners exhibition of URBAN Photo Awards 2022 at Sala Xenia, the main venue of the festival, which will host various presentations and talks, and where you will find all the photographic volumes produced for the festival, including the catalog of the contest URBAN unveils the City and its Secrets – Vol. # 08 and Life Explore Soul by Sakulchai Sikitikul, winning project of the URBAN Book Award.
To find out who will be the first ranked for each category, the Honorable Mentions, the Best Author and the Overall Winner, see you at the URBAN Photo Awards Ceremony, on Saturday 29 October 2022, at the Auditorium of the Museo Revoltella. Super-guests Nino Migliori and Susan Meiselas will award, respectively, the Winner Overall of the Single Photos section and the Winner of the URBAN Book Award. The winner of the special prize “New Buildings”, born from the collaboration between URBAN Photo Awards and Matrix4Design and the winners of the Exhibition-Prize at the Poreč Museum (Croatia) will also be awarded.
On display until 27 Novembrer 4 selected projects at the Civico Museum Sartorio for the “Trieste Museums” exhibition-prize, offered by the Municipality of Trieste’s Civici Musei di Storia e Arte.
Until November 4, 2022, the Biblioteca statale Stelio Crise hosts Sakulchai Sikitikul‘s solo exhibit, Life Explore Soul, winner of the URBAN Book Award 2022, together with a selection of the contest’s best ranked photos.
The Palazzo delle Poste Centrali is also hosting an exhibition entirely dedicated to the most beautiful photos of URBAN 2022, on display until Saturday 5 November.
Also not to be missed at Trieste Photo Days are the events involving Susan Meiselas, URBAN juror and protagonist of the project WOW – Worlds Of Women, a collective tribute to women. The American photographer will present WOW on Friday 28 October at 7.00 pm in the Sala Xenia, while she will give a talk at the Auditorium of the Museo Revoltella on Sunday 30 October at 11.30. Finally, the very last places are still available for her intensive workshop on Saturday 29 October.
