URBAN Photo Arena 2025. The Semifinalists Are In!
The vote for the knockout phase of URBAN Photo Arena is concluded. Congratulations to Caterina Nora, Daniel Brusilo, Debarun Biswas, and Jason Au for the achievement so far!
Now the challenge moves to Trieste Photo Days (24-26 October), where the final two stages of the competition will take place live in front of the festival audience. In this final phase, the winners will be decided by the jurors of the URBAN Photo Awards 2025: Matt Black, Paolo Verzone, Denis Curti, and many others.
- Semifinals: Friday, October 24 – Sala Xenia
- Final: Sunday, October 26 – During URBAN Photo Awards Ceremony
The Best on Display
The 4 semifinalists’ competing photos will be displayed in the URBAN Photo Arena group exhibition, which will host the “BEST 15”, the best ranked photos resulting after the first exciting voting period of the contest – and a selection of local authors’ photographs. Here you can find the complete bracket with all contest’s participants. The exhibition will be held at the Arturo Fittke Hall during Trieste Photo Days festival (24-26 October 2025) in collaboration with the Department of Education and Family Policies through PAG – Youth Area Project of the Municipality of Trieste.
Best Voter of URBAN Photo Arena 2025
The Award
The contest can be won in two ways: in addition to the traditional podium with the best photos voted by the jury (composed of both participants and the URBAN Top Jury), perseverance in voting and photographic intuition in knowing how to choose the winning photo are also rewarded. The “Best Voter” Award is conquered by the participant with the most points accumulated within the Semifinals round.
The score system
If a photo voted in a match advances to the next round, the voter accumulates a score. The number of points up for grabs gradually increases, making the challenge compelling and unpredictable until the very last minute! The “Best Voter” Award is therefore obtainable by all participants alike, even by photographers who have been eliminated from the main competition.
The Best Voter
Congratulations to Caterina Nora, who won the second “Best Voter Award” for URBAN Photo Arena! He conquered the ranking thanks to his perseverance in voting and a talented eye for the best photographs.
Caterina Nora will receive a €150 Amazon voucher and a Stroppa camera strap worth €60 as prizes and will be awarded during the festival Award Ceremony.
