URBAN Photo Arena 2023: The space for emerging young photography talents

Live semifinals at the Tenth Edition of Trieste Photo Days festival

The vote for the knockout phase of URBAN Photo Arena is concluded. Congratulations to Jason Au, Simone Bordieri, Yousef Naser and Romain Miot for the achievement so far! The challenge moves onto Trieste Photo Days, where the top 3 Jurors of URBAN Photo Awards will vote live the last two stages of the competition:

Semifinals: Friday 27 October 2023 – voted by Jérôme Sessini and Kadir van Lohuizen ( time TBD)
Final match: Saturday 28 October 2023 – voted by President of URBAN Jury Alec Soth during the festival Award Ceremony (time TBD). The Best Voter of the Arena will be awarded, too!

The best on display

The 4 semifinalists’ competing photos will be displayed in URBAN Photo Arena group exhibition, which will host the “BEST 16”, the best ranked photos resulted after the first exciting voting period of the contest – and a selection of local author’s photographs. Here you can find the complete bracket with all contest’s participants. The exhibition will be held at the “Arturo Fittke” Hall during Trieste Photo Days festival (27-29 October 2023) with the support of the Pietro Pittini Foundation and in collaboration with the Department of Education and Family Policies through PAG – Youth Area Project of the Municipality of Trieste.

Talent Space 2024

Thanks to the support of the Piero Pittini Foundation, one URBAN Photo Arena 2023 participant who has distinguished themselves through originality and artistic value will be offered the opportunity for visibility at the next edition of the Trieste Photo Days festival in 2024.
