Counting Down to Trieste Photo Days: the Best of the URBAN Photo Awards 2025 is Back on Display! (updating…)

As Trieste Photo Days 2025 draws closer, a series of photography exhibitions curated by URBAN Photo Awards will guide the public towards the upcoming festival in October, offering a rich programme of photographic previews across the city and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

The exhibitions will showcase a selection of the most compelling images from the prestigious international contest, offering viewers the chance to immerse themselves in contemporary urban photography through the eyes of artists from around the world.

Trieste Airport – Furio Lauri Gallery
29 July – 04 September 2025
The collaboration with Trieste Airport continues, with a new group exhibition on view throughout August. Designed to welcome both travellers and visitors between flights, the exhibition is set in a space that has become a true symbol of the connection between travel, art, and local culture.

12 September – 11 October 2025
The project URBAN Unveils the City and Its Secrets invites viewers to reflect on urban identity and the hidden details that define a city’s soul.

Trieste Photo Fringe

From early October
The Trieste Photo Fringe returns in 2025 with its unique format that brings photography outside traditional exhibition spaces. A selection of finalist and winning images from the URBAN Photo Awards 2025 will be displayed in some of the most iconic venues in the city centre – cafés, bars, and restaurants that will become alternative galleries. A unique opportunity to enjoy powerful photography over breakfast, lunch, dinner, or an aperitivo – making art an organic part of everyday life in Trieste.

The journey towards Trieste Photo Days 2025 has officially begun — More exciting events and exhibitions will be revealed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
