The 9th volume of the “URBAN Unveils the City and its Secrets” series that includes the work of 222 photographers ranked in URBAN Photo Awards 2023. The series provides the reader with an overview of stories told through images. For the sixth year in a row, the collaboration between URBAN Photo Awards and the Municipality of Trieste will give life to a prestigious exhibition-award at the Civico Museo Sartorio for four finalist projects in the 2023 edition of the contest.

The jury of the “Icons of Architecture” 2023 special prize, represented by Matrix4Design founder Andrea Boni, has selected the TOP 10 finalist and their photographs. The competing authors have submitted all together more than 200 photographs within the “Spaces” category of the URBAN contest. The images depicted buildings created by the great names of international architecture, capturing their identity from a new point of view and providing an original interpretation as photography artists. The winning photo will be announced next month: it will be exhibited and awarded during the international festival of urban photography Trieste Photo Days festival (27-29 October 2023).
