Jonathan Jasberg

Jonathan Jasberg is a street and documentary photographer who has been living a highly minimalistic and nomadic life for over 15 years. He is the recipient of more than 40 international awards, including “Best Author” at the 2022 URBAN Photo Awards. His work is defined by a rigorous minimalistic approach; shooting with a single camera and prime lens, and carrying only a single spare battery in his pocket. Having no home base and fitting all of his possessions into a carry-on suitcase, he photographs in an average of 12 countries a year, prioritizing spontaneous agility over excessive gear.

As an ambassador for the Xiaomi x Leica collaboration, he has completed assignments in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, India, Japan, and Mexico, among other locations. His photography has been featured in print by National Geographic, GEO, and Leica LFI Magazine, and his long-term project on Egypt was published as a limited edition monograph by Eyeshot. Additionally, he has been a guest speaker for B&H Photo, Leica Camera, and Trieste Photo Days.

Named one of the “Top 10 Street Photographers to Watch” by The Independent Photographer, Jasberg continues to explore all corners of the world in search of unique moments, while also teaching small-group photography workshops in his favorite locations around the globe.
