The URBAN Photo Awards 2023 prize-exhibition at the Territory Museum of Poreč (Zavičajni Muzej Poreštine) was inaugurated in Poreč (Croatia).
Also present at the inauguration was the museum director and competition juror Elena Uljančić, who selected the project for this year’s exhibition: West Safari, by the Italian photographer Francesco Aglieri Rinella.

The portfolio documents the human presence in the context of American decadence in the contemporary age.
This is the director’s motivation:
“The choice of this portfolio is due to the quality of the idea and the presentation.
The photographs express a right concept full of atmosphere but with a personal note in the photographic eye. From the photos emerges an atmosphere similar to that in the paintings of the artist Edward Hopper.”

The exhibition is part of the Photo Days Tour 2023 calendar, the frame of events taking place outside the city during the Trieste Photo Days festival.
