Announcing the Finalists of URBAN Photo Awards 2025!
As we approach the final stage of the URBAN Photo Awards, we’re excited to reveal the Finalists who have emerged after weeks of rigorous evaluations by our esteemed URBAN jury. The jurors have spent countless hours reviewing submissions and selecting the standout entries that have made it to this pivotal round.
Finalists Announced
The URBAN Photo Awards 2025 have nearly reached their conclusion. You can now view the gallery showcasing our Finalist Photographers, selected on the basis of high scores from our esteemed jury.
While only a select group has advanced to the final round, we want every participant to know that their contributions matter deeply. Think of a major athletic tournament — just as not every team can make it to the championship game, every athlete’s performance is the result of relentless effort and commitment.
We truly value every photograph submitted and remain committed to celebrating your talent through feature articles, promotional campaigns, and various media projects. Our ongoing mission is to provide the exposure your work deserves and to create opportunities for every photographer involved.
Remember, this experience is about more than just earning top honors; it’s about growth, sharing your unique perspective, and progressing together as a creative community. Even the most successful athletes have experienced setbacks but used those moments as motivation to rise even higher in future competitions.
What’s Next
The next phase of the competition will take place in September, with the announcement of the Winners’ Shortlist: an unranked, alphabetical list of all authors nominated in each section, including Winners, Honorable Mentions and Remarkable Rewards.
In the meantime, here’s a quick overview of what’s coming up next:
- The Photographer of the Year (selected among the winners of the Single Pictures sections), the winners of the four Single Pictures categories, Projects & Portfolios, Artistic Sensitivity Award, URBAN Photo Arena, Honorable Mentions, and Remarkable Rewards will be revealed during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 25, at Trieste Photo Days.
- The winners of the Matt Black Special Prize, URBAN Book Award, URBAN PRESS Award, Patricia D. Richards Legacy Award, and Civic Museum Prize will be announced in advance and awarded at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 25, at Trieste Photo Days.
Each Winner, Honourable Mention, and Remarkable Reward recipient will receive their respective STELE or SIGILLO – original art pieces handcrafted by renowned Venice Biennale artist Giorgio Celiberti. Each unique work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, making every prize truly one of a kind.
In addition, authors who receive multiple recognitions will be shortlisted for the “TPD Best Author 2025” award, to be presented during Trieste Photo Days.
